Natural Cherry Hardwood Smoked Precooked Bacon Delicious New Addition to Jones Dairy Farm’s Popular Foodservice Product Line

FORT ATKINSON, Wis., (October 27, 2009) Jones Dairy Farm, a 120-year-old family-run business and leader in all natural raw and pre-cooked breakfast sausage for the foodservice industry, announces the introduction of Natural Cherry Hardwood Smoked Precooked Bacon to their foodservice product line, said Philip Jones, President.

 

The new precooked version of Jones’ already popular Uncooked Grill Ready Natural Cherry Hardwood Smoked Bacon is available in three slice sizes including regular, thick and extra thick.  Jones Natural Cherry Hardwood Smoked Bacon is slow-smoked with cherry hardwood for up to seven hours which produces a lighter, redder tone and helps bring out a perfect hint of sweetness.  To finish the process, Jones air-chills the bacon, instead of the more common brine chill, before it’s pressed and sliced to get a less salty, more pure bacon flavor.  

 

According to Mr. Jones, the addition of precooked bacon provides customers with a choice when preparing signature dishes or looking for ways to differentiate themselves and their menus from the competition.  Jones Natural Cherry Hardwood Smoked Precooked Bacon is cut from lean, hand-selected pork bellies that offers better yield than their competitors’ products.  Depending on the thickness selected, precooked bacon slices per case will range from 240 to 300.
