JONES DAIRY FARM UPDATES PACKAGE DESIGN, REFINES PROCESSING TECHNIQUE
4/11/2011 12:00:00 AM
FORT ATKINSON, Wis., (January 24, 2011) – Jones Dairy Farm has been a leading producer of all natural breakfast sausage since the company was founded by Milo Jones back in 1889. Sausage made from a cherished family recipe free of preservatives, MSG and gluten. Standing the test of time by remaining true to the original all natural recipe, Jones Sausage has even gained a new legion of fans that value the company’s commitment to quality. To help emphasize the simplicity and wholesomeness of the past yet spotlight what’s important to consumers today, Jones Dairy Farm has introduced a new design for its flagship All Natural Sausage package, said President Philip H. Jones.
“More than ever consumers are seeking products that are what they say they are,” said Jones sixth-generation president and Milo’s great-great grandson. “With the All Natural product line, we wanted to make sure our new package reads “all natural,” “minimally processed” and “gluten free.” We know people love the taste and quality of Jones Sausage, now our new package is going to help remind them right at the point of sale.”
The new package design highlights the product benefits of “No MSG,” “no gluten” and “no preservatives.” Other changes on the front panel include the addition of the gluten-free certification symbol from the Gluten-Free Certification Organization and updated product photography.
According to Jones, the company also recently made subtle changes to the processing technique of their sausage. This change not only improved the nutritionals, but it improved the texture of the product so the sausage is more like the fresh-ground sausage of earlier years. “Our breakfast sausage has always been all natural and will continue to be all natural,” said Jones. “Which means that the taste and quality you’ve come to expect from Jones Sausage will be the taste and quality your children will grow up with too.”
Available in the freezer section of leading grocery retailers, the All Natural uncooked breakfast sausage product line is available in the following varieties: Original Little Links and Patties, Maple Links, Light Links, Hearty Links, Roll Sausage and new Turkey Links. Only the Roll Sausage product and package will remain the same. The new package design is expected to be on stores shelves by January 2011.
Jones Dairy Farm products offer the old-fashioned quality one would expect from a family farm. Although best known for all natural sausage, Jones Dairy Farm also produces high quality hams, hickory and cherry hardwood smoked bacon, liver sausage, Canadian bacon and scrapple for consumers around the world. Still 100-percent family owned and operated, Jones Dairy Farm is committed to the same fundamental principals today as when the company was founded six generations ago.
