Ingredients
  • To Make Malted Bacon Candy Stix:
  • 2 tablespoons malted milk powder
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 12 slices Jones Dairy Farm Dry Aged Bacon
  • To Make Milkshake:
  • 1 cup premium vanilla ice cream
  • 1 tablespoon malted milk powder
  • 1/3 cup whole milk
  • 2 slices Jones Dairy Farm malted bacon candy stix, divided
  • 1-2 tablespoons maple, coffee, caramel, or chocolate syrup, optional
Directions

To Make Malted Bacon Candy Stix: Preheat the oven to 325˚F. In large, shallow bowl, combine malt powder and brown sugar. Dredge each slice of bacon in mixture to coat, then place on foil-lined sheet pan. Sprinkle any remaining malt sugar mixture over the bacon. Cover bacon with another sheet of foil and top with the same size sheet pan (pressing the bacon between the sheet pans to keep it flat).

Bake 20 minutes. Check bacon; if it is not crispy, pour off any fat and return to oven to continue cooking, checking every 5 minutes. Once crispy, remove bacon from oven and place each slice on a cooling rack. Cool completely. Store stix cool, dry and flat.

To Make Milkshake: Combine ice cream, malted milk powder, milk and 1 slice of candied bacon in blender; blend until thick and creamy but still chunky. Pour into tall shake glass garnished with syrup, if desired. Garnish with remaining candied bacon strip.
