1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed according to package directions
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
4 Jones Dairy Farm Ham Slices
1/2 cup shredded Wisconsin gruyère or swiss cheese
3 tablespoons chopped fresh basil (optional)
1 egg, beaten
Preheat oven to 400°F. Spray baking sheet lightly with nonstick cooking spray.
Place thawed puff pastry on lightly floured surface; spread with mustard. Arrange ham over mustard, leaving 1/2" of pastry at top of longer side uncovered. Top with gruyère or swiss cheese and basil.
Starting at longer side, roll up tightly jelly-roll style; pinch seam to seal.
Cut roll into 1/2" slices. Place slices on prepared baking sheet about 1" apart. Brush tops with beaten egg.
Bake 15 to 17 minutes or until golden brown; serve warm.
Tip: For advance preparation, roll can be wrapped and frozen. Thaw at room temperature 30 minutes before slicing and baking as directed. Or, roll can be wrapped and refrigerated several hours or up to one day in advance before slicing and baking.
