8 Jones Dairy Farm All Natural Pork Sausage Patties
2 teaspoons garlic powder
Dash of chili powder
Dash of ground pepper
1/4 cup hickory flavored BBQ sauce, divided
4 large eggs, lightly beaten
1/4 cup chopped fresh chives, divided
1/4 cup evaporated milk
1 cup milk
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon of paprika
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
4 slices Hawaiian sweet bread, cut 1-inch thick
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/4 cup honey
4 lettuce leaves
8 slices tomato
1 cup shredded colby jack cheese, divided
1/2 cup maple syrup, optional

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350˚F.

Place sausage patties on foil-lined baking sheet. Sprinkle tops with garlic and chili powder. Cook for 12 minutes. Flip sausage and season with pepper. Top each with small amount BBQ sauce. Cook for 12 minutes. Remove and set aside.

While sausage cooks, in shallow baking dish, mix eggs, 3 tablespoons chives, evaporated milk and milk. Add salt, brown sugar, paprika, cinnamon and vanilla and whisk to combine.

Soak bread slices in egg mixture for about 1 minute, flipping once to ensure bread is thoroughly covered.

Combine butter and vegetable oil in large frying pan over medium heat. Fry bread slices for approximately 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown.

To assemble, place French toast slice on plate and cover with 1 tablespoon honey. Top with lettuce, tomato and two sausage patties. Sprinkle with cheese and reserved chives. If desired, top with maple syrup.
