1 green apple, cored and sliced into 1/2 inch thick, round slices
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
1 (12 oz) Jones Dairy Farm All Natural Pork Sausage Roll
1/4 cup fresh sage, chopped
4 english muffins, split
4 slices sharp cheddar cheese, 1 oz each
Preheat oven to 400˚F.
Place apple slices on rimmed baking sheet; in small bowl, combine butter and maple syrup and drizzle over apples.
Roast apples 5 minutes; flip slices and roast 5 more minutes, or until apples are golden and tender.
Crumble sausage into a mixing bowl; add sage and mix to combine. Form mixture into 4 patties.
Cook patties in lightly oiled medium non-stick skillet over medium-high heat until browned and fully cooked, about 3 minutes per side.
Toast english muffins and keep warm.
Arrange apples on each bottom english muffin half; top with hot sausage patty and a slice of cheese. Add muffin tops and close sandwich.
