9 slices

Texas Toast or Thick-Cut Bread

4

Eggs

1 cup

Milk

1 tablespoon

Brown Sugar

1 tablespoon

Vanilla

1/2 teaspoon

Ground Cinnamon

9 slices

Jones Dairy Farm Dry Aged Bacon

Real Maple Syrup, for serving

Directions

  1. Using a knife, cut the rounded top of each slice bread to make a straight edge across top, then cut each slice bread in half crosswise to create two “sticks.” Set aside.

  2. In large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, brown sugar, vanilla and cinnamon. Set aside.

  3. Heat griddle to medium; cut each bacon slice in half crosswise to create 18 pieces. Add several slices bacon to griddle, leaving at least 1 inch between each slice. Cook 3 minutes, turning several times. Dip bread stick into egg mixture and place one stick over each piece bacon. Cook 2 minutes. Flip and cook another 2 minutes. Repeat with remaining bacon and bread.

  4. Serve sticks with maple syrup, if desired.
