1 (12 oz) Jones Dairy Farm All Natural Pork Sausage Roll, thawed
1 (14 oz) can diced tomatoes, un-drained
3-4 fresh basil leaves, chopped
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried oregano
2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
1 can refrigerated pizza dough
15 slices pepperoni
2 cups shredded mozzarella, divided
Olive oil for brushing
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
Marinara sauce for dipping (optional)
Preheat oven to 400˚F.
In large frying pan, cook sausage over medium-high heat, crumbling sausage as it cooks. Once sausage is fully cooked, reduce heat to simmer. Add tomatoes, basil, garlic powder, oregano, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
While sausage mixture is simmering, roll out pizza dough on floured surface. Transfer to parchment lined baking sheet.
Place pepperoni on dough spaced out evenly. Top with 1 cup cheese. Spread sausage mixture evenly over dough, leaving about 1-inch of dough on each side. Top with remaining mozzarella.
Roll dough lengthwise, pinching sides together to seal. Brush top of dough lightly with olive oil (or spray lightly with olive oil spray) and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
Bake for 30 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving! Serve with marinara sauce for dipping (optional).
