Hickory Smoked Ham Steaks

ingredients
1 (12 oz) Jones Dairy Farm All Natural Pork Sausage Roll
4 oz Jones Dairy Farm Ham, chopped
1 (15 oz) container ricotta cheese
2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon dried oregano
Kosher salt and black pepper
1 1/2 pounds pizza dough
Olive oil
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 450°F. If using a pizza stone, preheat in oven for at least 30 minutes.

Heat large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook sausage, breaking up as it cooks, until golden brown and cooked through. Add in ham and cook another 1-2 minutes, just until heated through. Remove from heat.

Meanwhile, combine the ricotta, mozzarella, egg yolk and oregano in a medium bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Add in the cooked sausage mixture and stir to combine.

Separate the pizza dough into 6 equal portions. Working with one portion at a time, roll out into circle. Place about 1/2 cup of the filling on one half of the circle. Fold the dough over the filling and press the edges to seal. Seal the edges with a fork, or fold over to form a decorative edge. Place on a piece of parchment paper and cut 3 slits in the top with a sharp knife. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with kosher salt.

Transfer the calzones to oven and bake until golden brown, 10-12 minutes.
