To cook bacon the classic way, grab your skillet and head to the stovetop.
Lay bacon slices in a cold pan. They will shrink and curl as they cook, so it’s alright if they’re touching.
Turn your burner on medium and begin cooking. When the bacon begins to buckle and curl, use tongs to turn over the slices.
For even browning, continue to turn bacon for 3-6 minutes, or until desired crispiness is achieved.
If your pan begins to fill with bacon grease, very carefully remove excess grease from the pan with a bulb baster or spoon. Spilled grease can cause a fire; so if you choose to pour off excess grease, use caution.
When your bacon is cooked as you like it, remove from pan and place on paper towels to remove excess grease.
