Territory Sales Manager – Retail

Jones Dairy Farm, a family owned and operated business for over 130 years, is seeking a Territory Sales Manager- Retail. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sales professional who can demonstrate initiative, drive, and wants to join our growing team!

Position Summary

Responsible for the sale of products throughout assigned territory to meet planned objectives as to sales volume, market penetration and profitability. Perform field sales calls targeting identified customers, brokers, and distributors. Develop new customer base and further develop current customers with which full market potential on product acceptance, has not been established.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer, broker, and distributor network in compliance within Company guidelines
• Investigate and expedite product claims
• Achieve assigned volume and trade spending goals
• Provide up-to-date competitor information
• Execute and implement corporate marketing programs and initiate account specific promotions
• Accept special projects as assigned

Basic Qualifications

• Three to five years of previous sales experience with meat or perishable food background
• BA/BS Degree, preferred
• Ability to travel 60%+
• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products
• Ability to lift 50 pounds

Physical Requirements

Lifting up to 50# occasionally.  Sufficient manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate office equipment.  Exposure to production and storage facilities which include cold, damp, hot, and noisy environments.
