This sandwich makes so much sense, we’re surprised it’s not a classic. Oozing cheese, crispy hash browns and savory chicken sausage. What could be better?

This recipe is made with ​Jones Golden Brown® Pork Patties.

Sandwich Chicken Patty 5 oz
ingredients
2 cups refrigerated shredded hash browns 
4 Jones Dairy Farm All Natural Golden Brown Chicken Sausage Patties 
3 tablespoons butter 
4 slices of deli rye bread
4 slices havarti or gouda cheese
4 slices cheddar cheese 
DIRECTIONS
Cook hash browns according to package directions and set aside. Brown sausage patties according to package directions.

Heat frying pan to medium heat. 

Butter one side of each piece of bread. Place two bread slices, buttered side down, in skillet. Top each slice with two slices havarti or gouda, sausage, hash browns and two slices cheddar cheese. Top with remaining slice of bread, buttered side up. 

Cook for 3-4 minutes or until lightly browned. Before flipping, press sandwich down with spatula. Flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and cheese is melted.
