One Pan Sausage and Apple Breakfast Quesadillas

All the flavors of fall come together to create a delicious grab-and-go breakfast, after-school snack, game-day appetizer, or breakfast for dinner comfort food.

This recipe is made with Jones Golden Brown® Mild Links.

ANGB Pork Link 7 oz
ingredients
4 ounces softened cream cheese
1/2 tablespoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 package Jones Fully Cooked All Natural Golden® Brown Sausage Links, flavor of choice
4 10 inch flour tortillas
3/4 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 cup shredded Gouda cheese
4 eggs
1 tablespoon butter
1/4 cup milk
1 granny smith apple, sliced thin
Salt to taste
2 tablespoons maple syrup or caramel sauce (optional)
DIRECTIONS
Mix cream cheese, cinnamon and nutmeg in small bowl. Set aside. 

Heat sausage links in medium skillet. Remove from heat and chop. Set aside.  

While sausages are heating, spread cream cheese mixture among 4 tortillas. Sprinkle cheddar cheese and Gouda cheese on cream cheese.  

Wipe skillet with paper towel. Add butter. Melt on low heat. Whisk eggs and milk in small bowl.  After butter melts, add eggs. Cook on medium-low heat 3-4 minutes.

Divide apple slices on half of each of the 4 tortillas. Top apple slices with sausage and eggs. Sprinkle eggs with salt to taste.  

For each quesadilla, fold half with only cream cheese and cheddar cheese over half with apples, sausage and eggs.  

Spray skillet with nonstick cooking spray. Return folded quesadilla to skillet. Cover. Cook on medium low heat 3-4 minutes. Spray top of quesadilla with nonstick cooking spray. Flip over. Cover and cook an additional 2-3 minutes until cheese is melted and tortilla is golden brown.

Cut and serve warm.

Drizzle with small amount of real maple syrup or caramel sauce for an extra sweet treat.
