This recipe is made with Jones Golden Brown® Mild Links.
12 frozen dinner rolls, thawed* 4 tablespoons butter, melted Seasonings to taste (recommended combination: sesame seeds, poppy seeds, paprika, minced onion, freeze-dried chives) 1/3 cup milk 10 large eggs, beaten 2 green onions, finely chopped Salt and pepper, to taste 10 ounces Jones Dairy Farm All Natural Golden Brown Breakfast Sausage Links, chopped 3 cups cheddar cheese, shredded *Substitute frozen par-baked dinner rolls or refrigerated bread dough.
Brush or roll thawed dough in butter, sprinkle with desired seasonings. Reserve any remaining butter and use to brush on finished rolls after assembly. Place rolls in 10-inch cake pan that has been thoroughly coated with non-stick spray. Flatten dough until rolls are just touching each other. Allow rolls to rise until doubled in size, according to package directions. Bake according to package directions (15 – 20 minutes) until lightly browned. Once slightly cooled, remove from pan and place on baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil. While rolls are baking, combine milk, eggs and green onions. Season with salt and pepper. Cook in non-stick skillet over medium heat until eggs are just set, soft scrambled; set aside. Cook sausage according to package directions; set aside.
Preheat oven to 350°F. Using bread knife cut rolls in half horizontally creating a large “bun.” Layer half cheese on bottom, add scrambled egg mixture, then sausage. Top with remaining cheese. Place top “bun” over filling and press down gently. Brush top and sides with remaining butter. Bake for 15 minutes or until heated throughout. Serve immediately.
