Fresh jalapeños and dry aged bacon add an unexpected kick to this appetizer classic. Perfect for entertaining, it’s so good you’ll need to make two.

This recipe is made with Jones Dry Aged Bacon.

8 oz CW Bacon
ingredients
2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1 (8 oz) package Jones Dairy Farm Dry Aged Bacon, diced and cooked crisp, divided
4 jalapeño peppers, seeded and diced, divided
1/4 cup green peppers, diced
3 teaspoons minced garlic
4 tablespoons fresh Italian parsley, chopped
1/2 fresh lime, juiced
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon Mexican oregano
Pinch of cayenne pepper, or more to taste
1/2 cup toasted pecans, chopped
DIRECTIONS
In mixing bowl, stir together cream cheese, cheddar cheese, half of the bacon, half of the jalapeños, green peppers, garlic, parsley, lime juice, worcestershire and spices. In wide, shallow bowl or rimmed plate, combine remaining bacon, jalapenos and pecans.

Form cheese mixture into ball. Roll in reserved bacon mixture until coated on all sides. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least one hour before serving.

Serve with crackers, baguette, endive leaves or apple slices.
