The entire family will enjoy this better-for-you version of a Chinese food classic that’s loaded with flavor without the fried, oil soaked wrapper.


ingredients
1 (12 oz) package Jones Dairy Farm All Natural Sausage Links
8 cups coleslaw mix or shredded cabbage
3 large cloves garlic, minced 
2 tablespoons ginger, minced
3 tablespoons wheat free organic tamari sauce
1 can diced water chestnuts, drained
1 red bell pepper, diced
1 tablespoon sesame oil
4 whole green onions, sliced
1/4 cup slivered almonds
 
DIRECTIONS
Slice sausage links into 1/2-inch pieces while still partially frozen. 

Heat wok or large skillet over medium heat. Coat lightly with non-stick spray and add sausage. Cook, stirring frequently, until sausage is cooked throughout and turns golden brown. Do not drain.  

Add coleslaw mix, garlic, ginger, tamari sauce, water chestnuts and red pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until cabbage just starts to wilt. 

Remove from heat and toss in sesame oil, green onions and almonds. Serve in bowls or use as a filling for lettuce wraps.
