Jones Dairy Farm Dry Aged Cherrywood Smoked Bacon Slices

1 cup

Packed brown sugar

2 tablespoons

Dry mustard

1 tablespoon

Onion powder

1 tablespoon

Garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon

Ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon

Ground nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon

Cayenne pepper


Bakers rack


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Prep by placing a baking rack on a foil wrapped baking sheet.

  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, dry mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and cayenne.

  4. To start twisting the bacon, make sure you have toothpicks handy and try to keep the bacon as cold as possible.

  5. Lay bacon slices down onto the baking sheet. Hold one end of the bacon slice and twist the other end of the slice over and continue to do so 3 more times. Hold the end of the slice down onto the rack and continue to the next bacon slice and repeat.

  6. After finishing the tray, go b ack to the first bacon slice, while holding both ends to keep the twist, dredge the twisted slice into the candy spice mixture. Take the coated slice back to the tray and while holding one end, twist two more times and secure both ends with toothpicks. The toothpicks will help keep the bacon from un-twisting during the bake process. Repeat with the remaining slices on the tray.

  7. Place the tray of bacon into preheated oven, after 15 minutes remove the tray from the oven, rotate and place back into the oven for another 20-25 minutes. Remove the tray of bacon from the oven and allow to cool on the rack. Remove toothpicks and carefully remove from the rack.

  8. Serve as an appetizer, on top of a burger or steak or as a stir stick in your next Bloody Mary.
