Foodservice Key Account Manager

Jones Dairy Farm, a family owned and operated business for over 130 years, is seeking a Foodservice Key Account Manager.  This is an excellent opportunity for an individual that can demonstrate organization, a high level of accuracy, and attention to detail.

Position Summary:

Responsible for managing and strengthening business with several key ingredient national accounts.  Responsible for achieving assigned volume and profit goals, growing new product placements, and prudently defending our current business.  Act as the key interface between the customer and the JDF organization.  Lead and implement assigned strategies; strategies must incorporate the resources and input from all pertinent JDF departments (Product Development/Research Development, Manufacturing, Culinary, Scheduling, Finance, Marketing, Purchasing, Traffic, etc.).


  • Achieve assigned volume and profit goals and grow new product placements.
  • Act as the point of contact for key ingredient and national account customers and the Jones Organization.
  • Effectively serve as a strategic business advisor and consultant to the customer by developing and strengthening relationships across the entire customer organization while supporting Jones initiatives.
  • Successfully lead cross functional teams that are able to deliver solutions to meet customer needs as well all pertinent JDF departments.
  • Effectively communicate strategy and direction of the customer to the JDF Organization in order to ensure alignment and trust with all stakeholders.
  • Up to 25% travel with some overnight stays.
  • Accept special projects and complete them promptly.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • 5 years of Sales and Marketing experience in the food industry.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Must be a highly organized and self-motivated individual with strong account management and relationship-building skills.
  • Sales experience calling on ingredient/national or regional chain account segment. Culinary experience a plus but not required.
