International/Export Sales Manager

Manufacturer of Premium Meat Products in Fort Atkinson

 

Jones Dairy Farm, a family owned and operated business for over 135 years, is searching for an International/Export Sales Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who has the desire to make a significant impact within a dynamic and growing food manufacturing company.

 

Position Summary:

Responsible for volume and profit for all International/Export distribution and customers. Grow and manage all aspects of International/Export Foodservice, Retail and Club store business. This includes working closely with the Jones Executive management team and all departments as needed.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Initiative contacts with overseas distributors/agents resulting in growth of sales
  • Provide special quotations to customers accurately and timely.
  • Initiate contacts with foodservice, retail club buyers resulting in growth of sales outside of the US.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Regulatory Affairs, Customer Service, Transportation and Accounts Receivable to drive order execution, resolve issues, and ensure timely delivery in support of international sales objectives.
  • Actively participate in all necessary trade/food shows and new club openings.
  • Manage assigned customer accounts to meet AOP objectives on volume and profit.
  • Provide pricing and manage promotional activity with accounts.
  • Work well with production departments to ensure product requirements are met cost efficiently.
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of international regulatory requirements and compliance standards across markets in which the company operates.
  • Make recommendations concerning improvements to policies and procedures.
  • Frequent overnight travel.
  • Perform special projects willingly, efficiently, and timely as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

Experience or Training: Minimum of 5 years of experience managing international/export sales and marketing in the food industry with focus on perishable food products. Must possess excellent communication, financial management and negotiating skills to deal with people from foreign countries and/or cultures. Must be a highly self-motivated individual. Must have a high level of confidentiality, discretion, and good judgment.

Technology/Equipment: Strong computer skills with proficiency working in MS office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Education: Bilingual (Spanish).

Experience or Training: Meat industry experience preferred. Experience with product development and new item launch experience a plus.

Technology/Equipment: Experience in data analysis tools and software, such as Power BI, Nielsen or Circana.

 

Physical Requirements:

Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate office equipment efficiently. Ability to distinguish color. Require frequent walking, bending, standing, reach above shoulders, and sitting with exposure to production areas requiring use of safety equipment and exposure to cold, wet, damp, hot and noisy environments. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
