IT Systems & Network Administrator
Manufacturer of Premium Meat Products in Fort Atkinson
Jones Dairy Farm, a family owned and operated business for over 135 years, is searching for an IT Systems & Network Administrator. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who has the desire to make a significant impact within a dynamic and growing food manufacturing company.
Position Summary:
Ensure stable delivery of IT resources and services to business users. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, securing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all on-premises and cloud-based IT network hardware, software, and communication systems. Perform a variety of systems engineering tasks and activities that are broad in nature and are concerned with major systems design, integration, and implementation, including personnel, hardware, software, security, budgetary, and support facilities and/or equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, integrate, implement, maintain, monitor, and support all hardware, software, communication links, and budgets in an accurate and efficient manner.
- Analyze current business processes and make recommendations for improvement to company efficiency, security, accuracy, cost, and liability.
- Analyze network traffic and provide capacity planning information and recommendations.
- Monitor and respond to complex technical control facility hardware and software problems and troubleshoot application, system, and network performance issues.
- Work directly with department managers and system users to identify current issues, prepare and document plans to remedy the issues, and coordinate/participate in the implementation of the plans.
- Interface with vendor support service groups to ensure proper escalation when needed.
- Document configurations and work performed using systems, tools, and conventions consistent with the organization. Compile records and reports concerning network performance, operations, and maintenance.
- Design, build, and implement cloud and network systems to include supporting Cisco networking and wireless, VMware virtualization, Fibre Channel SAN, firewalls, remote access, Active Directory, Azure AD, Office365, Windows endpoints, Windows systems, SQL Server, and line of business applications.
- Accept special projects willingly and complete them promptly.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Completion of a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Experience or Training: 5 years of IT experience supporting a process manufacturing environment.
- Must have the ability to demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, efficiency, and professionalism.
- Licenses/Certifications or experience: Active Directory, Azure AD, SQL, Microsoft Office365 Suite, Windows endpoints and Microsoft CRM/Dynamics, Cisco networking, VMware, SAN/Fibre Channel, wireless, firewalls/VPN, backup/DR are desired.
- Technology/Equipment: Strong mechanical/technical ability as well as versatile hardware and software technical ability.
Preferred Qualifications:
Licenses/Certifications: CompTIA Network+, Security+, CCNA, CCNP, Office 365/Azure AD Administration, VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
Physical Requirements:
Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate office equipment efficiently. Requires frequent walking, bending, standing and sitting with exposure to production areas requiring use of safety equipment and exposure to cold, wet, damp, hot and noisy environments. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
