IT Support Technician Intern

Jones Dairy Farm, a family owned and operated business for 135 years, is seeking an IT Support Technician Intern. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual that can demonstrate organization, initiative, and attention to detail.

Position Summary:

The position will provide end-user support services, and technical support for installing, and configuring computer hardware and software programs. This involves working closely with end-users, as well as external support vendors.

 

Responsibilities:

• Maintain all assigned systems in an accurate and efficient manner.
• Provide end-user training and support to resolve application and hardware problems promptly and cordially
• Tracks IT inventory assets with accuracy.
• Resolve issues quickly when troubleshooting or notifies the appropriate parties to reach a solution.
• Support computers change control management to ensure consistency with company policies.
• Assist in procurement and tracking of IT inventory assets. This includes but is not limited to hardware evaluation and purchase, employee training, and systems troubleshooting.
• Make recommendations regarding technology standards and improvements to policies, procedures, techniques, facilities, and other matters relative to enhancing the effectiveness of the department.
• Accept special projects willingly and complete them promptly.

Basic Qualifications:

• Working towards a 2-year degree in computer science or a related field.
• Strong mechanical/technical ability.
• Exposure to Office 365 applications.
• Exposure to active directory management.
• Basic network competencies.
