Thanksgiving Guide: Make the Most of your Holiday Meal
Thanksgiving is a beloved holiday, filled with family, friends, and incredible food. But if you’re hosting, it can feel a bit overwhelming! From planning the perfect meal to creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere, there’s a lot to juggle. That’s why Jones Dairy Farm collaborated with Emily Dingmann of My Everyday Table to create a comprehensive Thanksgiving Guide to help make your hosting experience smoother, more organized, and, most importantly, enjoyable and delicious.
What You’ll Discover in Our Thanksgiving Guide:
- Stress-Free Planning Tips: Discover our top strategies for managing your time, including easy steps you can take days (or even weeks) ahead of the big day to stay relaxed and on track.
- Irresistible Recipes: Having been around for seven generations, Jones Dairy Farm has many delicious recipes to share in the recipe section of our website including Jones family favorites and new inspirations from collaborators around the country. Emily also created three new recipes that we wanted to share here:
- Sourdough Sausage Stuffing: Using our delicious three-ingredient Jones Dairy Farm All Natural Pork Roll Sausage, this stuffing will get rave reviews year and year. Studded with flavorful pork sausage, fresh herbs, and sourdough bread, this stuffing is absolutely delicious and has a variety of soft and crunchy textures.
- Ham & Potato Au Gratin: Featuring our naturally smoked ham, these potatoes are not only creamy, flavorful, and cheesy but a delicious way to switch up your potatoes. Inspired by Julia Child’s Gratin Jurassien (Scalloped Potatoes with Heavy Cream and Cheese), this recipe is also an excellent way to use up leftover ham if you find yourself with some after the holidays.
- Hot Bacon Spinach Salad: Showcasing our famous Jones Dry-Aged Bacon, this recipe is a time-saver because the bacon and dressing can be made up to two days in advance. The warm bacon dressing is satisfying and rich enough to stand up to the other dishes but also includes a few unexpected ingredients – dried cranberries and raw pumpkin seeds for a seasonal twist that you’ll crave again and again.
- Pro Tips for a Beautiful Table: Simple yet elegant ideas for creating a festive, welcoming atmosphere that will wow your guests.
- Delicious Ideas for Leftovers: Because Thanksgiving doesn’t end when the meal is over! We’re offering fresh ideas for turning your leftovers into creative, tasty dishes that extend the celebration. From turkey sliders and white chili to stuffing waffles and mashed potato pancakes, the recipe ideas are endless. Of course, including any one of our products, including any variety of our all natural sausage, ham, bacon, Canadian bacon, braunschweiger (yes braunschweiger!) or new meatballs, will make each recipe more delicious. Just use your imagination!
Whether you’re hosting for the first time or are a seasoned Thanksgiving pro, this guide will inspire and support you every step of the way. Let us take the guesswork out of planning, so you can enjoy the holiday as much as your guests. Ready to make this Thanksgiving your best yet?
