Not only are the Jones meat selections fresh and out-of-this-world, but visitors can also sample and purchase new product recipes, enjoy our daily breakfast and lunch menu followed by hand-dipped ice cream at the Jones Dairy Bar. Plus you’ll find local Wisconsin favorites and will take in the nostalgia that electrifies this warm and cozy atmosphere. We are looking to fill a Full Time Kitchen & Front Room Staff position. This an excellent opportunity for an individual who can demonstrate outstanding customer service, product knowledge, professionalism, a high attention to detail and has a helpful friendly attitude.

Position Summary:

Responsible for food preparation and menu execution, as well as general cleaning tasks for the Jones Market Kitchen. Provide a variety of retail clerical duties at the market to support the retail food outlet store, including promoting and selling Jones Market Products. Provide customer service support that emphasizes customer focus, approachability, and composure.

Responsibilities:

  • Washes dishes and performs cleaning tasks for the Jones Market Kitchen.
  • Assist with processing Chef made products.
  • Assess product inventory and make recommendations to Jones Market Supervisor ensuring adequate levels and selection.
  • Perform monetary transactions related to cash register, employee discounts, and related concerns with accuracy and integrity.
  • Read and rotate stock by date codes
  • Participate or perform in all promotional activities of the store and special events.
  • Maintain a professional and positive rapport with customers and coworkers.
  • Actively sell products through constant customer interactions.
  • Prepare and execute lunch menu in accordance with food safety and quality standards.
  • Adhere to federal, state, and local food safety and sanitation guidelines and all company policies.
  • Keep facilities neat, orderly, and appealing.
  • Effectively track ingredient and product dates to guarantee quality and food safety while controlling product waste.
  • Process market products in a timely manner while reporting inventory levels
  • Accept special projects and complete them promptly.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must have good oral communication and customer service skills.
  • Able to maintain a positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work without close supervision.
  • Must possess a high attention to detail.
  • Must know how to operate a cash register.
