Maintenance Supervisor- 2nd shift

Jones Dairy Farm, a family owned and operated business for over 131 years, is seeking a 2nd Shift Maintenance Supervisor.  This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who can demonstrate leadership, drive, and a focus on safely maintaining all equipment and overseeing Maintenance personnel.

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field or at least five (5) years’ of relevant experience.  Proficient in word-processing, Spreadsheet and Database programs.  Must have excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.  This position requires high level of confidentiality, discretion and good judgment.  Must be able to meet deadlines and maintain regulatory accuracy.

Position Summary

Responsible for the effective planning, directing and coordinating all aspects of the maintenance procedures.  This includes direct supervision over maintenance mechanics involved in the installation, maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities, scheduling, training and productivity of the employees; quality of the work; safety compliance efforts; and equipment effectiveness.  Under the direction of the manager, participate in facility and equipment layout and the purchase, installation and improvement of equipment. Actively participate in the improvement and maintenance of the Process Safety Management Program. Participates as an active member of the HAZMAT team. Develop and document preventative maintenance/predictive maintenance programs. Participate in improving Sanitary Design for existing equipment. Special projects as assigned.

Physical Requirements 

Sufficient manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate personal computer and other office equipment as well as a variety of power and manual tools.  Continuous exposure to facilities of a food manufacturing environment which is cold, hot, damp, dusty and noisy. Must be able to wear PPE required for HAZMAT response. Must be able to work 10 hour days and 6 to 7 day weeks as needed
