Jones Dairy Farm, a family owned and operated business for over 131 years, is seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst.  This is an excellent opportunity for an individual that can demonstrate organization, a high level of accuracy, and attention to detail.

 

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for auditing production and sanitation practices and procedures throughout the plant; collecting assigned chemical, microbiological and/or environmental samples; examining packaging and monitoring operating practices to ensure compliance with company and USDA standards. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Performs product checks to ensure specifications are met and issues assigned reports
  • Places and releases QA holds
  • Interacts with production employees, supervisory staff, government representatives and office/managerial staff professionally
  • Performs special projects as assigned
  • Supports QA Director & QA Supervisor as needed

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Related work experience in a food manufacturing environment or other QA setting
  • Familiarity with USDA and HACCP
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • High level of accuracy and organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds

Sales Assistant

Jones Dairy Farm, a family owned and operated business for over 131 years, is seeking a Sales Assistant.  This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who has the desire and ability to work in both a clerical and culinary setting.  

Responsibilities:

  • Function as point person for broker inquiries
  • Research and maintain all broker contracts
  • Organize customer visits, broker trainings, and sales meetings
  • Prepare foodservice products for customer visits and product cuttings in-house
  • Maintain sales literature inventories and distribute as needed
  • Reconcile and distribute all broker commission checks
  • Packing, shipping, and maintaining inventory for all sales samples
  • Maintain all department files and databases
  • Administer sales incentive programs
  • Special projects as assigned

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Three (3) years of administrative experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Quality Assurance Manager

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for strengthening the food safety and quality systems throughout the plant.  The QA Manager will oversee the function and performance of the Plant QA and Regulatory Affairs staff.  They will prepare and lead all audit functions and provide recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.  Partnering with Manufacturing to ensure product compliance is an essential element of the position.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership for continued growth of internal quality systems
  • Lead and oversee development, implementation, and maintenance of the current audits and certifications (SQF, organic, USDA)
  • Responsible for annual HACCP assessments
  • Perform root cause analysis for customer complaints and production deviations
  • Identify and execute department cost savings
  • Works cooperatively with Manufacturing, Product Development, and QA Lab

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree in a food or meat science
  • SQF and HACCP Certified
  • Supervisory experience required, preferably within the food manufacturing industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Flexible scheduling of hours, including weekends as needed
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision

Jones Dairy Farm, a family owned and operated business for over 131 years, is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor.  This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who can demonstrate leadership, drive, and a focus on safely producing distinctive quality products.

 

Position Summary:

Responsible for the effective planning, directing and coordinating all aspects of the operations procedures.  This includes scheduling, training, and productivity of the employees; quality of the products; safety compliance efforts; equipment effectiveness and safety.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and supervise activities of personnel and determine work assignments
  • Administer company polices, work rules, and labor contract in a fair and consistent manner
  • Ensure work is performed in compliance with HACCP regulations, quality inspections and USDA guidelines
  • Conduct daily safety inspections to ensure safe operations are met
  • Ensure availability ofmaterials based on projected requirements
  • Make recommendations for improvements to procedures, methods, facilities, equipment and other matter relating to the effectiveness of the production areas

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Supervisory experience required, preferably within the food manufacturing industry
  • Post-secondary degree in a food or business related field desired
  • Experience in a unionized environment preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, decision-making and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment as well as ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work weekends
  • Bilingual capabilities in Spanish/English a plus
