IT Systems & Network Administrator

Jones Dairy Farm, a family owned and operated business for over 130 years, is seeking an IT Systems & Network Administrator. This is an excellent opportunity for individual that can demonstrate organization, a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and professionalism.
Position Summary:
This position will ensure stable delivery of IT resources and services to business users. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all on-premises and cloud based IT network hardware, software, and communication links. Will design, build, and implement cloud and network systems to include supporting Cisco networking, VMware virtualization, Fibre Channel SAN, wireless networking, firewalls, remote access, Active Directory, Azure AD, Office365, Windows endpoints, Windows systems, SQL Server and line of business applications. Will analyze network traffic and provide capacity planning solutions. Will monitor and respond to complex technical control facility hardware and software problems, troubleshoot application, system and network performance issues. Will perform a variety of systems engineering tasks and activities that are broad in nature and are concerned with major systems design, integration, and implementation, including personnel, hardware, software, budgetary, and support facilities and/or equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, integrate, implement, maintain, monitor and support all hardware, software, communication links and budgets in an accurate and efficient manner.
- Analyze current business processes and make recommendations for improvement to company efficiency, accuracy, cost and liability.
- Work directly with department managers and system users to identify current issues, prepare and document plans to remedy the issues, and coordinate/participate in the implementation of the plans.
- Interface with vendor support service groups to ensure proper escalation when needed.
- Document configurations and work performed using systems, tools, and conventions consistent with the organization. Compile records and reports concerning network performance, operations and maintenance.
- Accept special projects willingly and complete in a timely manner.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related degree) plus 5 years’ experience
- Experience supporting a process manufacturing environment
- Experience with the following: Active Directory, Azure AD, SQL, Microsoft Office365 Suite, Windows endpoints and Microsoft CRM/Dynamics, Cisco networking, VMware, SAN/Fibre Channel, wireless, firewalls/VPN, backup/DR.
- Excellent organizational, communication and documentation skills as well as versatile hardware and software technical ability.
Physical Requirements:
Visual acuity and manual dexterity to operate office equipment. Occasional exposure to production floor which is a cold, damp, dirty, hot and/or noisy environment. May require lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds.
