News About
Our Bacon

Throughout the pandemic many companies have dealt with the challenge of finding and retaining qualified labor. Jones Dairy Farm is no different. Due to the increased demand for our distinctive quality, great tasting products, we have been unable to consistently fill customer orders as a result of staffing issues. This means empty store shelves and unhappy customers. For a company that holds itself to high standards, we are falling short of our mission of “Unparalleled Customer Service.”

Therefore, Jones has made the difficult decision to temporarily suspend production of all bacon products sold in retail stores across the country. This is effective immediately. However, this suspension does not impact the bacon we sell to our foodservice customers, including restaurants, hotels, and universities.

Retail bacon products temporarily suspended included:

  • Cherrywood Smoked Dry Aged Bacon (8 oz and 16 oz)
  • Hickory Smoked Dry Aged Bacon (8 oz and 16 oz)
  • No Sugar Hickory Smoked Uncured Bacon (8 oz)
  • Uncured Cherrywood Smoked Turkey Bacon (8 oz)

According to Jones Dairy Farm Executive Vice President Ryan Robinson, suspending production of all consumer bacon products will allow the company to re-allocate labor, focusing on other core products including sausage, Canadian bacon, and ham.

“We would like thank everybody for their loyalty to our unique products and support of our brand and family business,” said Robinson. “This was an extremely difficult decision for our company, but one that was necessary.”

During this temporary suspension, Jones Bacon lovers will still be able to purchase and ship 15-pound boxes of bacon via the Jones Online Store ( or purchase one pound increments in store at the Jones Market in Fort Atkinson. In the meantime, customers can continue to enjoy our naturally smoked Canadian Bacon and Ham Slices, Braunschweiger and complete line of All Natural Sausage.
