Make your next cookout healthy and delicious with the rich, smoky taste of ham steaks.  They pair perfectly with your favorite vegetables and grill in a flash. 

This recipe is made with Jones Ham Steaks.

7 oz Ham Steak
ingredients

For the Tomato-Basil Vinaigrette:

1 1/2 cups tomatoes, chopped and seeded
1 cup fresh basil, packed
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
3 cloves garlic, chopped
1 1/3 cup olive oil
1 teaspoon honey

2 pounds assorted vegetables (peppers, zucchini, asparagus, eggplant, onions, etc.)
1/4 cup olive oil
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper

DIRECTIONS
To prepare vinaigrette, place all ingredients in food processor or blender. Process until well blended. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Preheat grill to medium heat.

Wash and cut assorted vegetables into grill-friendly sized pieces. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.

Grill vegetables for about 5 minutes until just tender, turning as needed. If using a grill basket, shake periodically to cook evenly. Remove veggies from grill and set aside on serving platter. Cover with foil to keep warm.  

Grill the ham steaks for two minutes on each side over medium heat. Cover with foil while grilling to prevent steaks from drying out. Arrange ham steaks and veggies on the serving tray and drizzle with vinaigrette.
