These are not your average pigs in a blanket. A delectable combination of savory sausage, rich cheese encased in a flaky puff pastry that can be served with a tangy maple mustard dipping sauce. Recipe by That’s What She Eats.

Ingredients

| 1 package | puff pastry, cut into 20 squares | 
| 2 boxes | |
| 1/2 cup | whole grain mustard | 
| 2 cups | shredded Gruyère or Swiss cheese | 
| 1 | egg | 
| 1 tablespoon | water | 
| Dipping Sauce: | |
| 1/3 cup | pure maple syrup | 
| 1/3 cup | whole grain mustard | 
| 1/4 cup | Dijon mustard | 
| 1 teaspoon | red chili flakes |

Directions
-  Heat oven to 400 °F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. 
-  Add sausage link to each puff pastry square. Top with mustard and a sprinkle of cheese. Roll up and seal. 
-  Whisk egg and water in a small bowl. Brush egg wash over each dough square. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown. 
-  Mix dipping sauce ingredients in a small bowl. Serve alongside warm sausages in a blanket.
