2 cloves | Garlic, minced |
1 cup | Orzo pasta |
1/4 cup | Sun-dried tomatoes, chopped |
1 tablespoon | Fresh thyme leaves |
2 cups | Chicken broth |
1/2 cup | Heavy cream |
Salt and pepper to taste | |
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish) | |
Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for serving) |

Heat olive oil in a large skillet or pot over medium heat. Add sliced chicken sausages and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add chopped shallot and minced garlic. Cook until softened and fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.

Stir in orzo pasta, sun-dried tomatoes, and fresh thyme leaves. Cook for 1-2 minutes until lightly toasted.

Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a simmer.

Reduce heat to low, cover, and let it cook for about 10-12 minutes, or until the orzo is cooked and most of the liquid is absorbed, stirring occasionally.

Return the cooked chicken sausages to the skillet and stir until heated through.

Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve hot. Optionally, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
