Position Summary:

Shipping employees are responsible for accurate, timely, and compliant movement of goods, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect incoming deliveries for damage, discrepancies, or missing items, and report issues promptly
  • Retrieve items from storage, package them securely, and attach correct labels and/or documentation
  • Prepare shipping and receiving reports, update shipment tracking data, and report irregularities or delays to supervisors
  • Follow company policies, safety procedures, and environmental regulations
  • Completion of routine paperwork
  • Obtain and process product orders, register deliveries, and distribute packages
  • Organize, clean, and stock; count inventory; and maintain accurate shipping/receiving logs
  • Schedule large shipments, plan storage space
  • Assist with troubleshooting shipping issues

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs., stand, walk, twist, push, pull, bend and tolerate repetitive movements
  • Ability to work in a freezer/cooler environment (-0 to 32+ degrees)
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic level of reading, writing, counting, and label-checking skills
  • Perform daily tasks while following all food safety, GMP, and workplace safety guidelines.
  • Maintain strong organizational and time management skills
  • Communicating effectively with team members

Technology/Equipment:

  • WMS/SAGE software
  • Hand-held scanners and tablets
  • Operate standing and sitting forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment safely

Physical Requirements:

Manual dexterity and visual acuity to operate office equipment efficiently. Ability to distinguish color. Require frequent walking, bending, standing, reach above shoulders, and sitting with exposure to production areas requiring use of safety equipment and exposure to cold, wet, damp, hot and noisy environments. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
