Cheesy Sausage Egg Breakfast Sliders
Recipe by The Slow Roasted Italian.
The Make-Ahead Breakfast Slider Every Holiday Morning Needs
Perfect for serving a crowd, these sweet and savory breakfast sliders can be prepped the day before and popped into the oven before guests arrive.
Ingredients
- 2 (16 oz.) Jones Dairy Farm All Natural Pork Sausage Rolls or 12 Jones Golden Brown All Natural Thick Cut Pork Patties
- 12 Hawaiian dinner rolls
- 8 large eggs, scrambled
- 8 slices American cheese
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Warm large skillet over medium heat. Form sausage into 12 patties slightly larger than one dinner roll. Add sausage to skillet and cook until completely cooked through. If using Jones Thick Cut Patties, prepare per package instructions.
Meanwhile, using a serrated knife, cut rolls in half lengthwise (without breaking apart). Place bottom half of rolls in 7×10-inch or 9×13-inch baking dish; set tops aside.
Scoop scrambled eggs onto bottom rolls; top with pepper jack. Place sausage on top of pepper jack and top with American cheese. Carefully top with top buns.
Combine melted butter and maple syrup in small bowl. Brush over tops of rolls allowing sauce to drip down sides and into bottom. Use entire amount.
Bake 15-20 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and melted. Serve and enjoy!
NOTES: To make for tailgating use a disposable foil pan or wrap individually in foil and keep warm. Sliders can be prepared a day ahead and popped in the oven before the big game.

Making these with Cincinnati goetta instead of sausage for super bowl today! Go Bengals!
Best made in bulk
For my partner and I these are best made in bulk, wrapped in freezer paper, ziplocked, labeled and frozen. We reheat them in the microwave for 30 seconds-1 minute a piece. We use them as a quick breakfast before we both go to work and you can take them right in the paper to go! First recipe that I saw calling for maple syrup though (we usually do 50/50 chicken apple sausage/beef bacon)…hope its good🤞
My teenage boys love these
My teenage boys love these. Instead of making sausage patties, I just push the sausage into the bottom of a 9×13 pan until it’s evened out across the whole bottom, cook at 350 for 25 minutes and put that square block of cooked sausage on the rolls. Much easier than cooking individual patties.

Christmas and Easter breakfast
I love making these the day before Christmas and Easter. I don’t bake them yet, but I get them fully assembled. Then the morning of Christmas and Easter I can just pop them in the oven rather than cooking! Can watch my kids open gifts and Easter baskets without slaving away in the kitchen. We love this recipe!
