Ingredients
2 tablespoons | Butter or Margarine |
1 | Medium Onion, finely chopped |
2 | Celery Stalks, finely chopped |
1 | Medium Green Bell Pepper, finely chopped |
1 (16 oz) | |
4 | Mushrooms, thinly sliced |
2 cloves | Garlic, minced |
1/2 teaspoon | Dried Thyme |
1/2 teaspoon | Dried Basil |
Hot Pepper Sauce, to taste |

1 cup | Wild Rice |
2 1/2 cups | Chicken Stock or Broth |

Directions

In a large skillet, melt butter; saute onion, celery and green pepper until soft.

Add sausage and cook until browned and crumbly.

Add mushrooms, garlic and spices. Cook 3 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Stir in rice until completely coated with meat and vegetables, and then add stock.

Boil, reduce heat to low, and cook until liquid is absorbed, about 40 minutes.
