Ingredients

2 (8 oz) packages

Dry Aged Cherrywood Smoked Bacon (for sweet)

1/4 cup

Brown Sugar (for sweet)

1/4 cup

Maple Syrup (for sweet)

1/2 teaspoon

Cracked Black Pepper (for sweet)

2 (8 oz) packages

Dry Aged Cherrywood Smoked Bacon (for savory)

1/4 cup

Grated Parmesan Cheese (for savory)

1/2 teaspoon

Garlic Powder (for savory)

1 tablespoon

Minced Fresh Parsley (for savory)

Pinch of Cayenne Pepper (optional; for savory)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 ˚F.

  2. Line baking sheet with foil, and then parchment. Cut slices of bacon in half. Tie each piece into a knot and set on baking sheet.

  3. For Sweet: Mix brown sugar and maple syrup in small bowl and brush over each bacon bowtie. Sprinkle with fresh cracked pepper. Bake for 30 minutes, or until bacon reached desired degree of crispiness.

  4. For Savory: Sprinkle garlic powder over each bacon bowtie. Bake for 15 minutes, remove from oven and sprinkle with parmesan cheese, parsley and cayenne, if desired. Return to oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
