These savory sausage tarts feature Jones golden brown pork sausage patties, flaky puff pastry, gooey gruyere cheese and fresh thyme. They’re great for breakfast or as a unique appetizer.

Puff pastry sheet (about 8 oz.), thawed
|1 (7 oz.) package
Gruyere cheese, freshly shredded
Heat oven to 375°F.
Cut puff pastry into six equal rectangular pieces.
Whisk egg and water together in a small bowl. Set aside for egg wash.
Place sausage on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Top with shredded cheese, fresh thyme, and a piece of puff pastry. Crimp edges of puff pastry down with a fork.
Brush with egg wash and bake for 15-20 minutes, until golden brown. Let rest for about 2-3 minutes before eating.
Store tarts in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Reheat sausage tarts in a 350°F oven for best results.
