Peach Glazed Ham
Sweet, Tangy and Built for a Carving Station
Jones Hickory Smoked Ham slow-roasted at 300°F and glazed three times with a sweet, tangy mixture of peach preserves, sherry vinegar, and cinnamon until the surface is deeply caramelized and lacquered. A simple, elegant centerpiece that works as well for a holiday buffet as it does for a high-volume catering program.
Ingredients
- 9 ounces peach preserves
- 4 teaspoons sherry vinegar or white wine vinegar
- 1 1/4 teaspoons cinnamon
Directions
Combine preserves, vinegar, and cinnamon; mix well.
Unwrap ham and place on parchment-paper lined half sheet pan. Score surface of ham into diamond shapes using a sharp knife.
Spread 1/3 of preserve mixture over top of ham. Bake ham in preheated 300°F standard oven 1 hour.
Spread an additional 1/3 of preserve mixture over ham and bake an additional hour.
Spread remaining preserve mixture over ham and bake approximately 45 minutes or until ham reaches 140°F. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing.
