

Southwest Chicken Chorizo Burrito

A Bold, Student-Friendly Burrito for K–12
Designed for K–12 foodservice, this Chicken Chorizo Breakfast Burrito delivers bold flavor in a student-friendly format. Warm tortillas are filled with savory Jones Chicken Chorizo Sausage Patties, shredded cheese, crisp lettuce, and mild salsa for an easy-to-assemble breakfast or lunch option that fits busy school kitchens.
Ingredients
- 50 Jones Dairy Farm Chicken Chorizo Sausage Patties
- 1 qt., 1 pt., 1/4 c. iceberg lettuce
- 25 10″ flour and corn tortillas
- 1 lb., 9 oz. low sodium cheese, cheddar or colby
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Place chorizo patties on a parchment-lined sheet pan and heat for 8–10 minutes, until hot (165°F).
Wash and shred lettuce.
Warm tortillas on a griddle or in a hot holding cabinet until soft and pliable.
Assemble burritos: Place 1 tortilla on a clean surface, add two hot chorizo patties, top with 2 tablespoons shredded cheddar cheese, ¼ cup shredded lettuce, and 1 tablespoon salsa, fold sides in and roll tightly.
Optional: Serve with a 2 oz. cup of Southwest Ranch or Chipotle Ranch dressing.
