Won my office Xmas dessert competition with this

Excellent. I easily won my office Xmas dessert competition with this. I also added Bourbon to the recipe. You might think there’s too much bacon, but it’s so sweet that the sweetness really balances it out. I also added some Cayenne pepper for some heat. I also think the pecans and bacon should be in larger chunks than the recipe and picture imply. If the chunks are too small they blend too well together and you can’t really taste the components. I would also have liked to make the bacon a bit crispier but when you mix it in with everything else and bake it, it gets a bit soft. Maybe overlay some (not all) of the bacon on top of the mix before baking? Next time I’ll try adding some maple syrup in place of some of the sugar. If I could add a bit of smokiness, I’d try that too.
