Canadian Bacon, Salami, Provolone — This Is Lunch
This Italian Sub stacks savory Jones Dairy Farm Canadian Bacon and salami with a zesty slaw, all tucked into a sub roll for a mouthwatering, flavorful meal.
Ingredients
- 4 sub rolls (or 1 large loaf of French or Italian Bread)
- 1 6 oz. package Jones Dairy Farm Canadian Bacon
- 8 slices salami
- 8 slices provolone cheese
- 1 cup roasted cherry tomatoes
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup pepperoncini peppers, sliced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons chives, chopped
- 2 cups shredded cabbage
- 1/2 cup pickled onions
- salt & pepper, to taste
Directions
Heat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Arrange bread pieces on baking sheet cut side up. Layer half of the bread with Canadian bacon, both salamis and half of the cheese. Arrange the rest the cheese on the other side of the bread. Evenly distribute roasted tomatoes on top of the cheese.
Transfer baking sheet to the oven and bake until cheese is melted and the meat is golden brown on the edges, about 10-15 minutes.
While the sandwiches are in the oven, make the slaw. Mix mayo, pepperoncini, garlic, chives and pepper in a bowl. Add shredded cabbage and pickled onions; toss to combine.
Remove the sandwiches from the oven and top with slaw.
