Recipe by My Everyday Table.
All the Flavor of Lasagna in a Party Dip
This Sausage Lasagna Dip browns sliced Jones Dairy Farm All Natural Little Pork Sausage Links in a cast iron skillet, stirs in marinara until bubbling, then dollops a seasoned ricotta and mozzarella mixture over the top and broils until the cheese is melted and golden. Serve with garlic baguette crostini for a party dip that tastes like lasagna without the effort.
Ingredients
- 1 French baguette, thinly sliced (or a gluten free bread)
- ¼ cup butter, softened
- ½ teaspoon garlic salt, plus more for sprinkling
- 4 oz. mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning, divided
- 1 (12 oz.) box Jones Dairy Farm All Natural Little Pork Sausage Links, thawed
- 24 oz. marinara sauce
Directions
Preheat the broiler to high. Spread butter on baguette slices, sprinkle with garlic salt, and place on a sheet pan in a single layer, cooking in batches if necessary. Broil baguette slices for 2-4 minutes, until golden brown. Set aside.
Meanwhile, stir together ricotta cheese, half of the shredded mozzarella cheese, 1 teaspoon of the Italian seasoning, and 1/2 teaspoon of garlic salt in a medium bowl. Set aside.
Slice thawed sausages into thin slices. Brown in a cast iron skillet or oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Season with remaining 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning and cook until sausage is browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
Stir marinara sauce into sausage and bring to a boil. Dollop with ricotta cheese mixture over the top. Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella cheese.
Broil on high until cheese is melty, about 3-4 minutes. Garnish with fresh basil ribbons and serve with garlic bread crostini for dipping.
