FAQs
Can I cook raw breakfast sausage in the microwave?
No. Raw breakfast sausage must be cooked on the stovetop or in the oven.
How do you cook raw sausage links?
To cook Jones raw sausage links, place them in a covered skillet over medium high heat with 3 tablespoons of water and cook for 4 minutes. Remove the cover and continue cooking for 6 to 8 minutes if thawed, or 8 to 10 minutes if frozen, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Turn frequently for even browning. Use thawed product within 2 days.
What is the difference between raw and fully cooked sausage?
Fully cooked sausage has already been cooked during manufacturing and simply needs to be heated through before serving. Raw sausage is fresh and uncooked, requiring full preparation at home. Raw sausage typically delivers a fresher flavor and more flexibility in cooking applications, while fully cooked sausage offers speed and convenience. Jones offers both so you can choose based on how you like to cook.
How long can I keep sausage thawed?
Thawed raw sausage, such as our All Natural Sausage Roll or Pork Links, should be consumed within 2 days.
What does being Certified Gluten-Free mean?
Being Certified Gluten-Free means added assurance for customers looking for safe and reliable gluten free products. We chose to partner with the Gluten-Free Food Program (GFFP) because they have the most strict and comprehensive certification program in the industry. This requires all certified products be tested and contain 5ppm (parts-per-million) or fewer of gluten.
GFFP’s strict guidelines ensure members of the celiac community and those who require gluten free products for other health reasons have products they can trust.
