Time to heat the waffle maker for this delicious protein-packed, low carb, keto-friendly version of a traditional ham & cheese sandwich.
This recipe is made with Jones Ham Slices.
Heat a waffle iron. Mix cheese, almond flour, and baking powder in a medium bowl. Add egg and mix until completely combined. Season with salt and pepper. Add diced ham and mix until ham is evenly distributed. When waffle iron is hot, spray both upper and lower molds with non-stick cooking spray. Scoop approximately ¼ cup to ½ cup of the mixture into each waffle mold. Be careful not to overfill. Close lid and cook for approximately 2-3 minutes, depending on how crispy you like your chaffles. This recipe will make approximately 3-4 large or 8 mini chaffles. Serving tip: Use a cookie cutter to cut a shape out of each ham slice. Then use all the leftover pieces, diced up, in the chaffles. Serve the chaffles with the ham cutouts.
