An elegant looking yet simple to make side dish that screams special occasion but is perfect for family dinners too.

This recipe is made with Jones Boneless Ham.

Family Ham Half
ingredients
4-5 medium Yukon Gold potatoes, scrubbed and sliced 1/8” thick
1 Jones Dairy Farm Dainty Ham or Family Ham
1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 1/2 tablespoons butter
1/3 cup heavy cream
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped
1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup gruyere cheese, shredded
Fresh thyme sprigs for garnish
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 375˚F.  Spray standard-sized 12 cup muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray. Cut ham into 24 thin slices, approximately the size of muffin tin.

Layer 4 potato slices in each cup of muffin tin, top with ham slice and sprinkle mozzarella cheese, dividing evenly among the 12 stacks. Add another layer of 4 potatoes slices and ham, and finish with 2 potato slices on top of each stack.

Melt butter in a microwave safe bowl, then add cream, garlic powder, onion powder, rosemary, thyme, and salt & pepper to taste; stir to combine. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of cream mixture over each potato stack.

Tent muffin tin with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes, or until potatoes are fork tender. Remove from oven and sprinkle gruyere cheese evenly over each stack.  Return to oven, uncovered, for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. If desired, place under broiler for approximately 2 minutes, until golden brown.

Remove from oven and let rest for 10 minutes before serving. Run knife around edges and remove from tin.  Garnish with sprigs of thyme.
